First person shooter games have always been one of the premier genres in gaming. And 2018 promises to bring a lot more of them. In this video we want to go over the top 10 upcoming first person shooter games in 2018. There’s a lot of games to get to so let’s get right into this with number 10

10:    Serious Sam 4:

Serious Sam 4 is game we don’t know a lot about however it is a game we do know is in development. According to the developers QUO team Serious Sam 4 is still happening and its core team remains hard at work on this. Serious SAM is moving away from directX 9 and moving over the Vulcan so it’ll be interesting to see how this game look. Hopefully we see some footage soon and hopefully this game releases in 2018.

Much similar to Serious SAM for payday 3 is a game we don’t know a lot about. But we do know it is in development. Publisher of today’s star breeze  had this to say a few months ago quote it is with the great satisfaction that we also can announce that payday 3 production is officially initiated and at full design stage. It was continued by saying I’d like to especially clarify that this project will enjoy as much time as we need it. It will be done when it’s done. This is our single most important brand today and the cornerstone of our business and we will treat it accordingly.

System Shock Reboot is one of the most iconic first-person shooters of all time and after two decades and night time studios is rebooting and reimaging the original system shock. The game is expected to stay true to the classic experience keeping all the things you loved while giving today’s games the modern look and feel expected from the triple-A title. If this is really system shock but just modernized this could be an incredible first-person shooter.

It’s set in a modern America where an income disparity between the classes have become unsustainable and the country has been plunged into having. You bring order to cows with up to eight players and cooperative play battle enemy squads. Ready or not looks to be a very interesting game and hopefully it hits the market in 2018.

Hell let lose is a very exciting World War 2 first-person shooter with lumbering tanks dominating the battlefield crucial supply chains. Viewing the frontlines and being a cog in the machine of colossal combined arms warfare. Hell Let Loose is attempting to put you really in the chaos of war, complete with deep player controlled vehicles a dynamically evolving frontline and crucial platoon focus gameplay that commands the tide of battle. This is a simulation of war not an arcade arena shooter. The game is built on Unreal Engine 4 and expected to release sometime on PC and steam in 2018.

Star Citizen has been one of the highly anticipated games for a long time and may be 2018 will finally be the year we see it. It’s highly anticipated for a variety of reasons. It’s a marriage of several different genres an open-world action game, a first-person shooter, a space sim star citizen just has so much going on and you can see why it’s taking so long to complete. And it’s got a highly budgeted single for a component dubbed squadron 42. This game has been financed by a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign and hopefully some point we finally get star citizen in our hands.

4:      Escape From Tarkov:

Escape from tarkov is another very ambitious PC game it’s an open world first-person shooter survival game. Where it’s set in the wasteland of kahrov city and you along with a bunch of other players have to figure out a way to survive and figure out the mysteries of Kharkov. You can play among different fractions and there’s gonna be a lot of customizability with the skill tree. That’s gonna allow you to acquire various perks and skills. This is a tradition full purchase game. There’s no free to play elements nor are there any micro transactions. Thus far we’ve seen of escape from tarkov has looked very promising. Hopefully we see it sometime in 2018.

3:      Far Cry 5:

Far cry is one of the most notable franchises in the gaming but in recent years it seems to have lost a little bit of its luster. Ubisoft did a great job with far cry 3 and far cry 4 was a petty good game although it was a lot of the same from far cry 3 and far cry primal. While there wasn’t new setting if you actually look at the core fundamentals of far cry primal it was still very similar game. And it’s lost bit of luster before far cry 5 looks to reignite the franchise. And it’s once again a first-person shooter set in open world environment that you can freely explore on foot or vairious vehicles. This entry will feature a new character creator where you can customize you character’s appearance, gender and skin tone. You have a variety of weapons to use and a recruitment system.

Where you can recruit locals in the country to fight alongside you similar to the buddy system in far cry 2. There’s a fishing mechanic and how could we forget the campaign can be solo of course. You can also play through the game cooperatively with the partner . pc ps4 xbox on 27 feb 2018.

2:      Borderlands 3:

Borderlands was one of the iconic franchises of last generation. And now in this generation we still haven’t seen Borderlands make an impact. We got a Borderlands collection and that was very nice but we haven’t gotten what we wanted a brand new Borland’s title. But we do know that gearbox is working on borderlands 3. The game is in full development and during the 2017 GDC gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford did present a Borderlands 3 tech demo running on Unreal Engine 4. We know Borderland is it’s one of the best cooperative experience that we’ve ever had in gaming and we want a Borderland 3. Hopefully we see some footage soon and this is the game that very well could release in 2018. Pc xbox ps4.

Now first-person shooters have always had the notion that they are the best when they’re competitive multiplayer titles. However metro definitely bucks that trend. Metro 2033 and metro last night were incredible single-player atmospheric first-person shooters with great gameplay great story line and amazing visuals. And now we have the latest in the franchise and its raising the bar with metro exodus. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of the farmer Russian Federation and you to cope with the various hazards engage in combat against mutated creature as well as hostile humans. If you’ve played metro you know what to expect.
